3-part observational series following the lives of inspirational people living in Rio de Janeiro’s famous shanty-towns, the favelas, at a time of immense upheaval in the city.
First shown on BBC2 in May 2014.
The first episode follows Rocky, a delivery man extraordinaire, who carries fridges, ovens and televisions on his shoulders up the favela’s steep staircases, while trying to control his wayward son Felipe.
