I am excited to announce the launch of a special charitable appeal inspired by “Escape from ISIS”, which aims to raise vital funds to provide expert psychological treatment to women and girls traumatised by ISIS.

There are currently only a handful of psychiatrists working in Northern Iraq trying to cope with the hundreds of women and girls who have been subject to horrendous cruelty by ISIS fighters. This crucial project will help those victims and countless others like them.
Funds raised will allow AMAR to work with expert psychiatrists to train local GPs so that they can deliver quality psychological care, as well as to establish ten new psychological support centres and to develop a community-based social programme with social workers delivering counselling directly into homes.
Please support this appeal. It means a huge amount to me, Khaleel and all the characters who appear in Escape from ISIS. Any donation, no matter how large or small, will make a huge difference to this persecuted community. These women have suffered unspeakable horrors. We need to ensure they receive the necessary treatment so that they can start rebuilding their lives.
